Hotel reviews that judge the stay inside the whole trip
A hotel review should answer the question you'll face at checkout: was this the right place for that trip? Ours start there. We look at the room, of course, but also at the walk to dinner, the noise on the street side, the parking fee nobody mentions on the booking page, and how the front desk handles a late arrival.
Each review names the guest it suits and the guest it doesn't. A hotel can be excellent for couples and awkward for families, or ideal for a two-night business trip and dull for a week. Saying so is more useful than a single score.
We don't invent stays or describe amenities we haven't verified. When a detail comes from the hotel itself, such as pool hours or a shuttle schedule, we say so and suggest you confirm it before you go, because those things change. Prices are never quoted as live rates.
Coming up in this section: how to read hotel reviews without being swayed by one bad night, and the questions worth asking before you trust a five-star rating.
